BITTERSWEET Valentine's Dinner

Valentine’s Day set the stage for BITTERSWEET, an unforgettable evening exploring the dual nature of love—both sweet and bitter—through bold flavors, artful presentation, and intentional storytelling.

Gathered around a beautifully styled communal table by floral designer Mariah Breitenberg of Gather Floral, guests were immersed in a dining experience that balanced contrast and harmony in every detail. The tablescape, adorned with ceramics by Chao Studio and menu’s designed by Second Sight Creative, reflected the evening’s theme—soft and striking, delicate yet grounded.

The setting, a stunning oceanfront gallery space curated by Jonathan Langman of Coastal Mod, provided an inspiring backdrop where art, design, and culinary craft converged.

Chef Will Sanders of Moontide Sundries guided us through a six-course journey, each dish a carefully composed reflection on the highs and lows of romance. From the richness of deep, velvety flavors to the sharp bite of citrus and bitter greens, each course played with contrast, reminding us that love—like food—is at its best when it embraces complexity.

Accompanying the menu was an exquisite wine pairing by Anne Cameron of In Good Co. Wines, introducing guests to winemakers crafting exceptional, sustainably made wines. With each pour, the selections complemented the flavors on the plate, enhancing the interplay of sweet and bitter woven throughout the meal.

Whether celebrating love, friendship, or the simple joy of gathering around the table, BITTERSWEET was a testament to the power of shared meals and meaningful connections. As the evening unfolded, guests lingered in conversation, savoring the moment, a toast to the beauty of both love’s light and shadows.
